Ukulele Chords - Learn To Play Twinkle, Twinkle, limited Star

In order to play Twinkle, Twinkle, small Star you need to know three chords. In this ukulele lesson we will sing the song in the key of C. We will start to learn the C-major chord!

I will now by comparison how to read the tabs. The four lines describe the four strings on your ukulele. The top line indicates the first string with the top pitch. That will be the lowest string when you play on your ukulele.

In this ukulele lesson I surmise that your ukulele is tuned in C. This means that your first string is an A.

The numbers on the lines tell you which frets to press down to play the chords. The amount 3 on the first lines means, press down the third fret on the first string. The 0 on the other strings means that you strum these strings without pressing down any frets.

You have to learn one more chord in order to play the first line of lyrics. That is the F-major chord.

The most difficult part of playing chords is regularly to change from one chord to other smoothly. You will greatly advantage from practicing the chords you change between gently while strumming once on every chord. For example between C and F, G7 and C.
